FAQ Kmehr Migration Formats & Validation Tool
Q : If we don’t have any information about the insurance status for the patient, do we have to create an empty element?
A: According to the documentation on which the rules are currently based (Transaction: Clinical Summary) insurancystatus in the clinicalsummary is mandatory. The element must be there, the content can be empty.
Q: When we don’t have the information, is it better to add an empty <unit> and/or <decimal> element?
A: absolutely. That shows that it isn't just an omission in the file, but that the value was empty.
Q: A lnk pointing to an unexisting mf-id does not produce an error
A: The tool does not check for the content of links, it never has.
Q: Smf/pmf validation : Absence of (mandatory/non-mandatory) link "xxx" in a xxx item does not produce an error
A: The version of the definition published by eHealth is the GPSMF 1.1, as it was discussed with us in 2011, and the way it is published on the website. Our tool is based on the definition that is published and maintained by the eHealth platform.
Even though other documents might circulate, other versions have not been discussed with the eHealth platform, and until now (Oct 2013) no project has been proposed to define a new version of the standard.
The remarks in this points are rules that are not part of the GPSMF 1.1 ruleset, and as such are not recognised by the tool.
A project will be created at eHealth to define a new version of the ruleset for GP PMF/SMF (not kine/nursing/other… !) to be published on the eHealth site, based on the proposals in the latest Prorec document. That new ruleset will then be the base of a new version of the validation tool. Planning on that still needs to be done.
